CHALLENGE: Via relationships with senior executives at AIG, Eiger was tasked with assessing the global golf landscape for sponsorship opportunities for AIG to revitalize their brand and host key brokers, partners and executives via a major golf sponsorship platform.
SOLUTION: Once the UK was established as the market of choice, a second corporate objective was overlaid in the search which was diversity and inclusion. An opportunity to assume the title sponsorship of the Women’s British Open was discovered and an initial five year partnership was negotiated beginning with the 2019 event.
RESULTS: Golf industry and global press reaction to the announcement in December of 2018 was universally positive, noting the support of women’s athletics by a major global brand. Over 120 key business partners gathered outside London for a first class executive hosting program that included events such as a Chairman’s breakfast and roundtable discussion from global leaders in diversity and inclusion. A thrilling finish by Hinako Shibuno saw the best ratings for any LPGA event in five years. It was an extremely successful inaugural year as title sponsor for AIG.
CHALLENGE: In 2010, Eiger saw an opportunity to reinvigorate professional golf in New Jersey when the Wakefern Food Corporation, parent company of grocery cooperative, ShopRite, sought a premium event to support their charitable giving initiatives and host clients annually.
SOLUTION: Eiger, with the support of corporate partner Wakefern Food Corp., established Greater Atlantic City as the permanent host to the ShopRite LPGA Classic. A host site agreement was signed with Seaview, A Dolce Hotel, and a premium 2-day customer Pro-Am experience was established featuring the world's top players.
RESULTS: Today, under Eiger's leadership, the event features a live television production on NBC's Golf Channel, attracts more than 65,000 spectators, hosts the largest Pro-Am in all of professional golf and boasts more than 400 corporate partners. In the years since its inception, the ShopRite LPGA Classic has generated an annual economic impact in excess of $20 million to the Greater Atlantic City area and has raised more than $40 million for charitable partners.
CHALLENGE: As an Official PGA Tour partner, SERVPRO was looking for agency support to better maximize and leverage their overall contractual sponsorship rights.
SOLUTION: As the first part of our engagement, Eiger renegotiated SERVPRO's PGA Tour partnership to provide greater flexibility in assets and a more favorable pricing structure. We then built an integrated marketing plan to achieve B2C and B2B objectives, including white-glove hospitality experiences at targeted tournaments for the brand's most coveted clients.
RESULTS: Outlyr has helped drive objectives for the brand and franchisees through integrated sponsorship activation. We hosted hundreds of guests to VIP experiences, resulting in significant incremental business, while still yielding a reduction in year over year investment for SERVPRO in golf. SERVPRO has since expanded its presence, tapping into new markets and reaching new clients using golf as the platform.
CHALLENGE: Walmart's mission was to help improve the quality of life in their home region of NW Arkansas. Key objectives included showcasing NW Arkansas as a viable destination for recruits and new business, giving back to the community in meaningful ways and providing area residents with a world-class sporting event experience.
SOLUTION: Walmart was named the title sponsor of the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G, an LPGA tournament in Rogers, Arkansas. Our team crafted a week-long series of programming surrounding the LPGA tournament including culinary experiences, fitness activities, kid-friendly events, women’s empowerment programs, charitable initiatives and more. All events were designed to be both affordable and accessible, aligning with Walmart’s corporate mission of “saving people money so they can live better.”
RESULTS: Over the past decade, the #NWAChampionship has grown into one of the largest tournaments on the LPGA Tour and a signature event for the NW Arkansas community. 70+ local and national businesses have partnered with the tournament to offer ancillary community events and activations including the STEAM Center for Kids, the Walmart Women's Empowerment Summit, BITE NW Arkansas food festival, #LikeAGirl Day, 5k @ the LPGA benefitting Mercy and more. Additionally, Walmart and the tournament have contributed $4.7M to local charitable organizations since the event’s inception in 2007.
CHALLENGE: Enhance the food and beverage experiences for the community, fans, volunteers and Meijer vendors in the following areas: Concession Stands, Champions Party, Hospitality areas, Volunteer Dining, Grand Taste and Celebrity Chef Events, while providing the highest quality food at the lowest price and engage the entire community.
SOLUTION: Outlyr designed and executed a look, feel and experience that signaled a consistent brand message in all food and beverage areas, with emphasis on the Grand Taste. Grand Taste (Main), a massive 25,000 square foot, self-contained culinary showcase of Meijer, sponsors and the local restaurant and brewery communities accompanies Grand Taste Garden, a 18,00 square foot platform which in addition delivered late night food & drink while offering outdoor seating and live entertainment every evening.
RESULTS: The Grand Taste featured an immersive Meijer in-store experience with over 80 top local restaurants, breweries and Meijer/vendors (featuring complimentary samples: sliders, fresh fruits, healthy snacks, beverages, etc.) in a true showcase of the region/culture. The Grand Taste hosted over 3,000 visitors each day of the three-day event, all in a family friendly, cost effective, environment.

The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican in partnership with BayCare Health Systems pledged to donate $50 for every birdie and $100 for every eagle scored during all four (4) rounds of the 2023 event to BayCare's Morton Plant Mease Health Care Foundation. All donations went toward height-adjustable bassinets and sleep sacks for babies.
The 120-player field in 2023, carded 1,446 total birdies and 19 eagles as part of the "Birdies for Babies" charitable program for a total of $74,200 from the field.
New last year, the fans were able to get in on the action adding to the donation amount throughout the week. In the Publix Chillounge Family Fun Zone, fans had the opportunity to take on the 30ft BayCare Long Putt Challenge. Each putt made added an additional $100 to the total.

Tucked away just beyond US Highway 1 on an old sand due that divides faithful Lake Merced from the Pacific Ocean is The Lake Merced Golf Club.
This 18 hole golf club was founded in 1922 just a few miles south of the Financial District of San Francisco and is now a renowned historic landmark.
In July of 1923, the original course designed by Willie Lock opened for play on what was once coastal sand dunes to the west of San Francisco. In 1929, Dr. Alister MacKenzie, architect of Augusta National, was retained to improve the bunkers and areas around the greens.
By the 1960’s, the course and the property had evolved and matured into a tree-lined parkland layout. When the construction of Interstate 280 encroached upon the course, renowned architect Robert Muir Graves re-routed the course beautifully, and the result is the foundation of the current layout.
In 1996, the latest architectural revision of our golf course was completed when Rees Jones was brought in to update the course as the club concurrently upgraded the course’s drainage.
Evidence of the elite caliber of the course can be found in the numerous championships including NCGA Championships and U.S. Open sectional qualifiers. The course was also named to the California State Amateur Championship rotation and hosted the 2009 NCAA West Regional Championship, 2012 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship, the 2014-2016 Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic.
The LPGA Mediheal Championship will host our inaugural Women's Leadership Summit at Lake Merced Golf Club as part of our event week, to engage, inspire and unite powerful women in various industries.
As the longest-running women's sports organization in the world, LPGA is the most authentic platform to align with to support these programs.

The #VOAClassic is a signature community event in The Colony, TX at Golf Clubs at The Tribute playing Old American Golf Club September 26 – October 2.
